Sarah Palin's Babygate Scandal Grows Bigger! Confirms Unmarried 17-Year-Old Daughter Bristol is Pregnant

The festering Sarah Palin "Babygate" scandal just got weirder. The McCain-Palin campaign announced that the Alaska governor's unmarried, 17-year-old daughter Bristol is pregnant. It is obvious that John McCain picked the under-qualified moose-hunting pro-life Sarah Palin to appeal to the reactionary white trailer trash vote the Republican Party has coveted since the Ronald Reagan years, but this is ridiculous!

And Baby Makes Two -- But for Who?

There are many bloggers claiming that Sarah Palin's son Trig is not her own, but that -- in the time-honored fashion prevalent before the Sexual Revolution of the 1960s -- she is passing off her daughter's first baby as her own. Oscar-winning cinema superstar Jack Nicholson was one such baby. It wasn't until the early 1970s, he found out his mother was actually his grandmother, and his late sister June was his mother. His sister/mother had gotten pregnant in the late 1930s, when out-of-wedlock babies were considered scandalous, and could ruin a young woman's reputation, preventing her from marrying a decent fellow in the future. Jack's sister/mother June was sent away to have her baby in New York City, and when the infant John Nicholson, Jr. (named after his grandfather/pseudo-father John Nicholson) returned with his mother/psuedo-sister to his native Neptune, New Jersey, the tyke was passed off as his grandmother's child. June Nicholson went about her life, later marrying and having two "cousins" who were actually Jacks half-siblings.

According to accounts on the Internet, such as that on DailyKos, the circumstances of Sarah Palin's fifth child Trig were truly weird. The governor didn't announce she was pregnant until she was in her seventh month, had no visible belly bump, and gave birth to a premature baby in her eight month in a hospital near her hometown of Wasalia, Alaska after her water broke and she went into labor in Texas!
