For All the Wrong Reasons

McCain and Sarah Palin or Barack Obama and Joe Biden? If you are at a loss to make a decision who to vote for now that Sarah Palin is on the Republican ticket, you are not alone. The 2008 Presidential
race has turned into an entertaining and almost humorous event. What cannot be argued though, is that the Republican decision to put Mrs. Palin on the ticket was a strategically brilliant move.

Listening to the latest arguments concerning morals and good character, one cannot help but notice a few interesting facts. It is now possible to identify the different types of Hilary Clinton supporters, and the reasons they have for not wanting to let go. The first variety of Hilary fan is the one who wanted a woman in office. Period. If this is such an issue, then one is not a Democrat or a Rebublican, and Mrs.Palin is a great candidate for your support. Then there are the Hilary-ites who love Hilary because she is an upstanding and decent citizen; not even the crustiest Republican can deny this fact. But wait; Mrs. Palin happens to be Governor of Alaska too. I think good character had something to do with this. Next, we discover that there are also the Hilary supporters who will hold on tight because "that Sarah Palin woman is cruel to animals". Wrong.

In Arkansas, and most other states of this fine country, millions of people are avid hunters. Hilary Clinton was no exception. Mrs. Clinton learned to handle a gun at a young age. In a jovial conversation in Wausau, WIS. Clinton (2008) spoke of her memories of one particular duck hunting trip. "The pressure was on. So I shot, and I shot a banded duck and they were surprised as I was" (para.2). Contrary to popular belief, any good hunter's main priority is to shoot with accuracy and kill their target so the animal does not suffer. Of course accidents happen, that is why they are called accidents.

This article is terrible... it makes very little sense.. and it seems like you don't know much about Palin if that's the best you can come up with! Animal Rights advocates generally do not eat meat anyway, so that argument makes no sense. And in fact, your whole article doesn't really relate to your title because you keep going back to Hilary Clinton... I mean, have you ever taken a writing class or anything? lol.

Great article.

Sarah Palin is more worrying than John McCain. Oh my, she thinks that the US had a 'mandate' from God to go to war in Iraq! (what Bible does she read - not love your enemies and do good to those that persecute you! - evidently!) and shes pictured with a rifle rofl. Its George Bush in drag! Its time the Republican party got into the 21st century!

The pregnancy of her daughter is a lame attack from pundit critics picking at dried scabs; apparently many of you have not sit in on unmarried child custody cases where the courts and judges down play the sacriments of marriage and sugar coat their words by calling it blended family's or the live in partner as a paramour (fancy titles with same meanings). With divorce rates sky-rocketing and the golden 50th anniversary celebrations growing old with some one is an antique life-style of the "good ole days" to present day norms! It's unfortunate some animals have suffered but without their sacrifics many of our loved ones would not be here today with the prosperity and knowledge of experimental medicine! Some animals have sacrificed their own lives intentionally to save their beloved owner. If, we did not monitor and regulate animal life, with anthrax, bird flu, mad cow disease, rabies, ticks and lime disease, distemper and animal attacks and other diseases, distruction of tree sapli

I don't know any animal rights advocates who eat meat. We realize that the 10 billion "food" animals that are killed each year suffer horribly, and not just during transport and slaughter. So I don't buy that point.

I beg to differ. If she is pro-life then she should not kill for sports - period! Does "Thou shalt not kill" mean anything? BTW, this phrase applies to animals too. And here, her supporters are crying the other side are hypocrites. Please, Palin look yourself in the mirror!
