As a former casino employee, I can say that I have been mistreated by the tourists many times! I worked on the Las Vegas Strip for five years. In those five years, I can say I have seen alot, and
have heard alot!

I have dealt with many tourists while working on the Strip. The tourists would drive me nuts! Picture this: You are a casino employee working the front lines. A tourist walks up to you and asks,"Exuse me, where is the restroom?" You point directly ahead of you, and the tourist turns and walks in the opposite direction while you are still explaining where to go! Tourists also ask the dumbest questions.. whenever the fire alarm would go off just for testing, of course we would have people ask if there was a fire. I would tell them, "No, they are just doing a routine test." I acutally had a lady ask me,"Why?" So, I explained to her that it was required by the fire department, and she still said,"But, why?" Talk about wanting to slap her!

The casinos would have promotions to get the people in there and playing. Many of them were for the players who had played quite a bit and were invited back to participate in the promotions. Of course there were some people who would come up to my counter and say things like,"My sister never ever plays here in this casino, does not even have a player's card here, and she received an offer to receive the free tranquility fountain in the mail! That's not fair! How come I didn't get one? Are you people playing favorites? I feel so left out!" Complaints like those were made by women, couldn't you tell? I'm a woman, and I'm saying it! When I tried to explain that her sister receiving an offer was a mistake, the lady had the nerve to ask me if we could make a mistake and let her have the offer too! I would then apologize and let her know we were not permitted to do that. She then asked to speak to my manager, and told my manager I was rude to her! This was all because she did not get her way! As it turns out, my manager had told her the same thing I just got finished explaining to her, and she walked off stamping her feet!
