Bill Bateman's Restaurant - Not Just a Place for Wings!

Bill Bateman's is a Maryland-based restaurant chain that is known for their large variety of chicken wings. They have over 10 varieties which are all very good. On a recent visit though, my wife and I were looking to try some of their lesser known items. This gave us a good chance to look at their menu and notice thay have over 10 different types of burgers, over 10 types of sandwiches, and 20 different types of entrees as well as a varity of appetizers, sides, and dessert. We were pleasantly surprised by the variety we had to choose from.

We were seated immediately after arriving on a Saturday night in December at 6 pm, which is a rarity in our area. The secret about this location Glen Burnie, MD is not out yet so it is easy to plan your schedule and not have to wait on a table. Our waitress was very personable and gave our one year old son special attention which impressed us. For drinks my wife and I each had a soda and she had a Raspberry Cosmopolitan. I was shocked when the bill came and it was only $5 (keep in mind it was their seasonal special which at many places could cost close to $10). During our meal we were brought new sodas when our glasses were still 1/4 full which was nice so we didn't have to wait. My wife said the Raspberry Cosmopolitan was strong without having an overpowering alcohol taste, and she enjoyed it very much.

When it was time to order appetizers we decided on something simple and ordered the loaded potato skins with sour cream on the side. The waitress at that time asked if we wanted to order something for our son so he would have his food quickly. We agreed that was a good idea and ordered Mac N Cheese for him and a milk. She even gave us the milk free of charge. Our appetizer and our son's Mac N Cheese arrived shortly after ordering and the potato skins were hot without being too scorching to eat and were a nice start to the meal for us. Our son's food seemed to meet his approval as he ate more of it than he ever does at home.
