Your Windows PC Running Slow? Here Are Some Tips to Fix Your Problems

You need to know that there is good news and bad news when it comes to speeding up a slow computer running Windows. First thing is the good news, with regards on how to speed up a slow Windows machine there are the thousands of things you can do.
  But the bad news is this, the root cause of the slow Windows machine may be very complicated. Sometimes too complicated for your average person with limited computer knowledge. Here are some common reasons and causes for slow Windows machine.

Unnecessary programs installed on the computer.

The first aspect that you should look at when looking to speed a bit slow Windows computer is to look at any programs that you do not need installed. What you should do is click on the start menu go up to the control and go to add and remove programs. Take a look through this and find any programs you no longer need.

Spyware.

Spyware has fast become one of the more common reasons for slow running computer. Everyday more and more are spyware is appearing on the Internet. Typically spyware will be in free toolbars and software that you obtain to the Internet. These programs usually start every time Windows starts and they take up valuable memory resources. The effect can be quite substantial when there is a lot of spyware installed on your computer. Search Google for anti-spyware software to help with this problem. Two programs that I recommend personally are Spybot and Ad Aware.

Temporary and unwanted files.

Whenever you browse the Internet your browser will start storing temporary files, cookies, and downloaded programs that you may not need. A good program that you can use to fix this is the Windows disk cleanup program. To run this, open the tab that says my computer, right-click on local desk and then click on properties. The disk cleanup button will be in the General tab.

Unnecessary or corrupted registry entries.
