I love pubs. I love finding new pubs to eat in. I especially love finding new pubs that brew their own beer! The Italian Oasis, on Main Street in downtown Littleton, New Hampshire is one such pub and, when you visit the North Country of New Hampshire, you must get there to visit! The Italian Oasis is located in the heart of Littleton, New Hampshire. Littleton is a booming, typical North Country village. It is located close to Interstate-93, the major Interstate in New Hampshire. The bar area is decorated with vintage ski memorabilia and there is an air vent that attempts to battle cigarette smoke. However, the bar is always very smoky. You will leave the bar smelling of cigarette smoke, so if you have allergies or are smoke adverse, the restaurant area, which is non-smoking, is the better choice for you. I generally think that the bar atmosphere is wonderful and the people very friendly.
The building that The Oasis is located in is very clean. The restaurant itself is split into two sections - a bar area that allows smoking and seating accommodations and a non-smoking restaurant section with table service exclusively. The bar and dining areas are well-lit and very clean. The service is usually very good - many of the servers are quick, respectful, helpful and polite. The food is typical pub-food fare and unexceptional.
The Oasis generally has four of its own beers on tap, along with the typical bottled beverages. They usually have a Golden, Amber and Stout. In addition, they have a seasonal. I really enjoyed the Golden and Amber. They were clear and brisk, very fresh and not very hoppy. I did not try the Stout because I dont like dark beers. I did not try the seasonal either. I was impressed by the two micro-brews that they did have.
