Go to the website - The first thing you need to do is go to the website of your credit card company to get set up. You can find the website address by looking on the back of your credit card or finding it on your billing statement.
Once you're on the website, you'll need to register by filling out the online registration form and getting a user name and password. The credit card company will then send you a confirmation email and may even mail you a letter letting you know your ID.
View your account - After you've logged in, you can now view your account activity. It will show you everything from credit card balance, available balance, credit limit, charge activity and payment due date.
You can set up payment arrangements to pay your monthly balance directly from your bank account. No need to write checks and go to the post office.
Also, by using your credit cards online account management you can pay several other monthly bills as well. Things like utility bills, cable TV and even phone and internet service. This makes bill paying so much more convenient than the days of writing checks and licking stamps.
Another point to consider in paying monthly bills online is that if you have a rewards card, those payments could very well add more points to your account. It only makes sense to put this into action and literally get rewarded for simply paying your bills each month.
