Sarah Palin has walked from the wilderness of the great state of Alaska, right out into the limelight. She presented herself to the American people Wednesday night with great professionalism and poise. This "Rookie" really surprised a lot of people. With great ease and enjoyment, she presented a speech that captivated her audience for almost 40 minutes.

Following behind Rudy Giuliani, who himself gave a powerful speech; she focused on Barak Obama for most of her time on the podium. Sarah Palin highlighted the differences between herself and John McCain and Barak Obama and his running mate, Joseph Biden.

Unlike most Washington pundits, Sarah Palin presented herself as someone who truly understands what life is really about in the United States. I believed her when she promised to serve as advocate for parents of children with special needs. No one knows what those needs are, and how difficult it is to have those needs met, than a parent who deals with them herself.

I was proud of her for being proud of her pregnant daughter, Bristol Palin. How many of us have been there ourselves? Sarah Palin clearly loves her family and is very devoted to them. She has a beautiful family, and like my family, they are not perfect.

Sarah Palin understands the financial difficulties of the majority of people living in the United States. She understands the hardships that are brought on the people through high taxes, high unemployment and high gas prices. She touched on a few ideas for turning our economy around tonight, and I eagerly look forward to the ideas a McCain/Palin ticket will bring to the table.

Everyone is talking about her lack of experience. For many years we have sent men with years of experience to the white house and look where we are now. Maybe it is time we take another approach. Choose someone who is one of "us" and send them up for the job. It is time we have a representative that has no "Washington Connections" and is not a member of the elite "Good Old Boys Club." It is time someone took a real look at how they spend our money. It is time someone took a good, hard look at our government.

Charlene...Paline did not "read" her speach, the tele-prompter was broken. Beshides, ALL politician have their speaches written for them for ALL major events. Obama, McCain and Biden included. Funny no one ever says Obama "read" his speach well.

Gov Palin seems to understand what being a woman in America is about. I am a PTA mom too. I hope that her party wins. We need someone that will fight against the way things are done in Washington. Obama just looks like more of the same.

1) The lies you speak of - more made up propaganda. Could you point out one of those lies for me? I guess I missed it. 2) Obama and Biden wearing boots???? seriously doubt it. Pretty leather loafers maybe, but not boots. Both of the runners in the Republican party seem to be "real" people who have lived through real things, and BOTH have worn boots! I like that. I have been on the fence a while, and to be honest I am leaning heavy to the Rep side. I am just getting sick of the immature bitterness I see coming from Dem. The riots on Tv and the attitude ingeneral are good examples of what I am talking about. I don't want to be part of a party that comes off as angry and mean all the time. Oh, Camille, according to the article above, Palin is a Governor too. If I remember correctly isn't that all the political experience Ronald Reagan had??? Another great article: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1003746/rnc_should_focus_on_the_issues.html?cat=9

You fail to mention how Palin told nothing but lies about Obama in her speech last night. Republicans really need to stop with their smears and flip flopping. Obama and Biden are examples of Real Americans that have pulled themselves up by their boot straps. How is being a mayor of a city with less than 10,000 people give her any "real" experience compare to Obama and Biden? It's quite apparent this woman has no experience and cannot manage her house hold.
