In the past several years I've owned 2 Ford Explorers. I had said my next car would be a third Explorer, then along came two kids (twins, actually). When the second Explorer died it was time to "upgrade". We needed something bigger, so my search began. I looked at many makes and models of SUV but, when it came down to it, the Expedition fit every need we have.

The Expedition, with it's third row seating, is large enough to comfortably fit our family of 4. One of my biggest concerns was that with every SUV we looked at we had the room we needed, and could fit the double stroller in the back, but there was no additional room. My husband and I both like to travel, when possible, including camping. With most of the SUVs, in our price range, there was no way possible we would be able to fit two adults, two children, plus all the luggage, tent, and equipment needed for travel. Even doing routine shopping trips would have been a challenge.

With the Expedition we have no problem what so ever fitting in everything we need. Shopping trips are a breeze and there's plenty of room for the four of us, the double stroller and any items we buy. We've also gone on three vacations since we bought the Expedition. We very easily fit enough luggage for 4 people, a large cooler, stroller, 2 portable cribs and every piece of "baby gear" we thought we would need, with plenty room left over for all the things you end up collecting on vacations.
