I waited forever for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest to come out on video! I had it at the top of my list on Netflix forever. I absolutely loved the first movie, The Curse Of The Black Pearl.

I sat down and watched this movie all the way through. One of the best things about this movie are the same characters from the last one. I love it when they can keep the same actors in sequels. All of your favorites come back for this one. You have of course, Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swan, Norrington, Governor Weatherby Swann, the two nuts Pintel and Ragetti join Jack's crew this time around.

In this sequel Jack owes a debt to Davy Jones, his soul. If Jack cannot find a way to save his soul, he will become a part of Jone's crew for eternity. Will Smith and Elizabeth Swan are planning a wedding but before that can happen, Will has to save them both. See, the Lord Beckett is going to hang them both for helping Jack escape unless Will can bring him Jack's compass.

When Will finally locates Jack on an island, he is forced once again to save Jack and himself. Jack then talks Will into boarding the infamous Flying Dutchman (Jone's ship) to find a key that holds the secret that might free Jack from his doomed fate. You see, not only can Davy destroy Jack himself but he controls a terrible sea beast, The Kraken.

Jack is not the only one in this film that is trying to retrieve Davy Jones secret though. After Will gets stuck on Davy's ship, he isn't so ready to give up the key to Jack once he is free. He didn't like the fact that he was tricked onto the ship and then left there by Jack who of course is out to only save himself. The one good thing that comes from Will being stuck on that ship is that he is reunited with his father Bill "Bootstrap" Turner, who's soul is stuck on the ship.

Very nice review. I was disappointed by it myself, but it did have its moments.
