French's (R) French Fried Onions : Consumer Product Review
Many American consumers are familiar with French's (R) French Fried Onions. These delectable rings and strands of crispy fried onions have become an integral part of many holiday dinners, by way of their inclusion in most Green Bean Casserole recipes. Made with cream of mushroom soup, green beans, m
ilk and French's (R) French Fried Onions, this tasty casserole is a very common dish at Thanksgiving and Christmas celebrations and dinners everywhere. Although these high- quality canned onions are primarily associated with Green Bean Casserole by many people, they are also quite delicious when eaten straight from the can and in an array of other recipes and uses.
When I was a child, my mother would always have a can of French's (R) French Fried Onions in the pantry. To this day, she still uses them in a variety of recipes. Like many other home cooks, my mother, as well as other family members would dutifully prepare Green Bean Casserole for various family get- togethers. Personally, when I was young, I was not particularly thrilled with any type of vegetable casserole, but when the Green Bean Casserole was served, I couldn't wait to pick through the casserole on my plate, in order to savor the delicious pieces of French's (R) French Fried Onions that were part of the dish. It wasn't until a couple of years ago, when my father brought over a 6- ounce can can of these fried onions, that I became aware of the wonderful culinary possibilities that this product offers.
