The Indianapolis Colts have done it again.

They have gone through most of the regular season virtually unscathed, and then in a period of less than 8 days, they have basically taken their entire season and made it questionable yet again.

Last season, the Colts were undefeated for 13 games. But after compiling their 13-0 record, they proceeded to be manhandled by the non-playoff-bound San Diego Chargers, and then tragedy struck their coach when Tony Dungy's son was found dead.

However, this season, all of the tragedy was born on the field. After going 9-0, the Colts succumbed to the will of the Dallas Cowboys and lost in Texas Stadium via a physical beat down. They followed that loss with a win against an Eagles team that was less than week removed from losing Donovan McNabb.

But the next two weeks were absolutely abysmal.

In a game that was way too close from start to finish, the Colts managed to lose to the resurgent Tennessee Titans and rookie quarterback Vince Young. While Peyton Manning had a decent game, he was outdone by the heroics of Vince Young who brought the team back after being down to the Colts by 2 scores. But even Young was not the reason that the Colts lost. But I'll get to that in a second.

Following the Colts' loss to the Titans, they played the Jacksonville Jaguars and promptly had their behinds whipped. Maurice Jones-Drew absolutely destroyed the Colts. They took it to them early, hard and fast. There was nothing the Colts could do right that Sunday, as the Jaguars showed that they could do more than just play the Colts close but that they could actually beat them.

So why did the Colts lose to the Titans and the Jaguars when going into theses games they were the clear favorite?

Because they are soft:

s-o-f-T! With a capital "T"!

Sooooooooof-T!

The Titans absolutely ran through the Colts. They lined up in 21 and 22 personnel and pretty much said, "My guys are better than yours," and proceeded to run the ball down their throats. The Titans averaged 6.3 yards, on 35 carries for 219 yards.

The Colts Are "s-o-f-T!"

I don't think the personality of a team is supposed to be softer than the ball that they play with.
