I am sure that you can agree that there is nothing more annoying in this world than a slow computer. You just want to access a certain program, load a web page, or complete a number of tasks: but, you must wait on the lagging of your computer, as it takes its sweet time to catch up with you. And, what about when you turn your computer on in the beginning of the day? You sit and wait while it takes ions to boot up. If your computer is annoyingly slow, and if it takes so much time booting up that you have a chance to go to the bathroom and grab a quick snack, you may want to take advantage of these four strategies that are sure to speed up your PC.The first strategy you can implement to speed up your PC is to perform a Disk Cleanup. A Disk Cleanup allows all of the clutter in the hard drive to be cleaned out. Such clutter includes temporary Internet files and other junk that is accumulated from downloading programs, surfing the web, and using your computer on a daily basis. To do a Disk Cleanup on your computer, go to your start menu, and then click all programs. Once you've done this, go down until you see the Accessories menu. Click on this menu and scroll down until you see a System Tools option. Under the System Tools menu, you'll find the Disk Cleanup option. Click on that and then follow the prompts all the way through. It is quite simple to do, as no effort is required. The amount of time it takes to complete Disk Cleanup varies since it depends on how cluttered your hard drive is. To keep your hard drive clean from unnecessary clutter, it is a good idea that you perform this task once a week.
