As a bachelor, I have dated many women over a period of time. Some of my previous relationships were good and some were bad. I have attained some valuable lessons from each of them.

I am responsible for some of the relationships ending, but I always conducted myself as a gentlemen when it came time to part ways with my previous girlfriends. Failed relationships can cause some people to go into depression along with a broken heart. I have been at that point in my life and eventually bounced back to emerge onto the dating scene again.

I would like to share several tips that can help anyone bounce back from a failed relationship. These tips are based upon my personal experiences and it is my pleasure to share them with you.

Tip One-It is very important to keep your ego in check. Our egos sometimes get in the way of rational thinking and creates hostility within ourselves for other people. Our ego can lead you to believe that you should be the one to call off the relationship if it isn't working out. Each party has the right to end the relationship if it isn't working out.

Tip Two-Don't try to rekindle the flame if you know that you cannot overcome irreconcilable differences with the person you were dating. Sometimes our hearts betray us. The heart cannot think. It can only feel compassion.

Evaluate the situation with logical thinking and understand that you can love a person without being in a relationship with them.

Tip Three-Talk with someone about the broken romance. It is not healthy for us to keep things bottled within ourselves. You will feel better if you talk with a relative, friend, or counselor. It is always a good idea to get another's perspective on what we are going through in our lives.

Talking with someone will also give us that emotional support we need when we are going through a tough time. I have always consulted with someone when I am coming out of a bad relationship. This has helped me a great deal and it can help you as well!
