Lohan Says No to Playboy

We've all watched entertainment shows and read the tabloids; Lindsay Lohan has not had a very shining past in the media. Viewing her in the media I myself know she has been in rehab 3 times, arrested for suspicion of cocaine and drunk driving and charged for assault. So when you read headlines stating that she turned down an opportunity to pose in playboy, it catches your attention.

According to MSNBC, She was offered $700,000 by Playboy to do a nude pictorial, for their upcoming 55^th year anniversary. She felt privileged to have received such an offer but she felt at this point in her career it wasn't the best idea to take her clothes off. Personally this is not something I expected from the actress.

Is this a sign of Lindsay's hectic and chaotic life making a turn around? Is this a step in a transformation from Hollywood bad girl to Hollywood sweetheart? For the sake of her career, I hope so. I among many people I know both in real life and online are not big fans of hers, due to her portrayal in the media. Some people also don't like to spend their hard earned money to support an accused drug user and alcoholic.

Don't take this wrong, there is nothing wrong with posing for playboy. It's a highly respected adult magazine; they are not trashy. Many popular actresses/singers/ athletes have posed for the magazine giant such as: Marilyn Monroe, Shannon Elizabeth, Torrie Wilson, Cindy Crawford, and Elle Macpherson; just to name a few (Yahoo). The difference between these celebrities and Lindsay Lohan is how they have been portrayed in the media. These fine women who have bared it all pretty much have a clean record and can morally afford to pose in playboy. With Lindsay's past it wouldn't look very good to anyone, except the male audience.
