The Indigo Child - Fact or Fiction?
You Be the Judge
The definition of an Indigo child is best worded in The Indigo Children: The New Kids Have Arrived, a book by Lee Carroll and Jan Tober. "An Indigo child is one who displays a new and unusual set of psychological attributes and shows a pattern of behavior generally undocumented before."The Indigo Child is believed to be recognized because of a new life color that was discovered and found in certain individual's auras. However, that theory has been debunked and the website indigochild.com puts out that "just in case you heard otherwise from other "indigo" sources, the
Nancy Ann Tappe, a psychic and synesthete, researched and performed studies which eventually led to the publishing of a book in 1982 that was called "Understanding Your Life Through Color". The study was done on people's personalities classifying them eventually as Indigo Children. Towards the end of the seventies, Tappe noticed a change taking place in the color of children's auras, as well as in their personality patterns.
The Indigo child name describes an energy pattern of behavior which seems to exist in over ninety five percent of the children born in the past ten years. When an Indigo is young, they are easy to recognize because they have large, clear eyes that almost seem to penetrate you. It appears as if they can see right into your soul, and they can.
These children are extremely bright, and they have an amazing extended memory that goes well beyond their years. In addition they seem to be highly instinctive, quickly picking up on words that have not yet been spoken. Hearing and seeing what the average individual cannot.
The most important factor of the Indigo child is that they are highly sensitive, and seem to have come here for a greater purpose. They are known as the "bridge to our future".
