Anytime you have a loved one that is an addict, the emotional ride they take you on is physically exhausting. If you think you are alone, think again. Someone I love and care for very much is an addict and has been for a very long time. If you are in need of seeking help for yourself or a loved one, I would like to share this information. This information comes from emails sent to me by Narconon and they have facilities worldwide. I would suggest that anyone needing information check into their programs because I have heard they have a great success rate.

The articles are entitled "The Life Cycle and Mechanics of Addiction" and describe how an addict behaves and thinks. ".....The life cycle of addiction begins with a problem, discomfort or some form of emotional or physical pain a person is experiencing. The person finds this very difficult to deal with"...."Here is an individual who, like most people in our society, is basically good. He has encountered a problem that is causing him physical or emotional pain and discomfort"......"Once the person takes a drug he feels relief from the discomfort."

Takeaways
  • Reasons an addict becomes an addict
  • What makes an addict "crave" more drugs
  • Depression and guilt of the addict
Did You Know?
When an addict's body metabolizes fat, if the fat cells contain metabolites from past alcohol and drug use, as the fat cell burns the drug metabolite will activate back into the person's blood stream
