New Year's party begins with the invitations. You can print out your invitations or buy them, but try to make sure they incorporate your Las Vegas theme. Many stores now have invitations for "Casino" parties that feature poker chips or decks of cards- these will work well for your Las Vegas themed party. Make sure you state in the invitation that semi-formal dress is required- Las Vegas is all about elegance! Ladies should wear cocktail dresses and men should wear nice pants and a dress shirt. The decorations for your Las Vegas themed New Year's party don't have to be elaborate, but they do have to be classy! Try to stay with one color scheme for all the decorations at your party. Black/Red, Blue/Back, and Purple/Black are great combinations for a Las Vegas themed party. Buy balloons that go with your color scheme and blow them up with helium, then let them float to the ceiling. If you have hardwood floors, cover them with glittery confetti, but don't do this if you have carpeted floors as it will never come out! If you do have carpeted floors, you can put the glittery confetti on your tables instead. Dress all your tables with real cloth tablecloths, and put a centerpiece on each one. Your centerpiece can be as simple as a pair of fuzzy dice or some color coordinated balloons held down by a deck of cards. If you are having a small gathering try to use real china and silverware for food service, if it's a larger gathering just use high quality paper plates like Chinet.
