Exercise Tips for Children with Insomnia

My family was very worried about my sister. Of all the children in the family she was the most active. When she was in her mid teens she had problems with insomnia. The insomnia seemed to plague her almost every night. Some times she woke up other children
in the family. The biggest problem was that the insomnia made her waking hours different from what she needed to be successful in school. The insomnia also affected the school work of the other children.

My parents always took good care of their children. They tried every thing to help get rid of the insomnia; doctors, home remedies, punishments, grounding, begging and then for a while they just gave up. That is my father gave up, my mother did not. She talked to some doctors who told her that the insomnia had become a habit for my sister. Fixing the problem might require a unique and non confrontational solution. The solution was found and exercise was part of the answer.

The family noticed how my father always fell asleep twenty minutes after dinner, sitting in his big chair and watching television. All the children chided him about it. He stated that he thought his body just was used to falling asleep at that time and in that place. That gave mom an idea because it reinforced the information from the doctors.
