New York's Fashion Week

New York's Fashion Week has been transpiring with out much hoopla. The clothing for Spring 2009 will be flowing colorful and off the shoulders judging by the fashions that were shown in New York. The economy has hit everyone including designers so they are designing clothes that are bright and flowing in hopes consumers will spend money on their clothing designs.

The biggest excitement yet this week at New York's Fashion Week has been Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson at Charlotte Ronson's 2009 Fashion Show. The paparazzi was so bad it caused a people jam entering and leaving. The more important and less talked about event was the charity concert performance against cancer. The performers were an interesting line up from Miley Cyrus to Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Beyonce Knowles, Carrie Underwood, Keyshia Cole, Leona Lewis, Fergie, Ciara, Mary J. Blige, Ashanti, Natasha Bedingfield, and Nicole Scherzinger.

I can't believe a lesbian couple who is now only holding to fame because of their relationship upstage a charity concert with top names that are still currently performing and in their prime as far as careers go.

Spring business (professional attire) was showcased in the Twinkle Fashion gallery. As for the prom or party dresses I like Venexiana Fashion. I think we will see a lot of those dresses on the actresses doing premieres. Perry Ellis fashion show cased an excellent all around man's wardrobe. I thought his work was very realistic of what today's guy might wear. DKNY was disappointing to me. BCBG surprised me in a good way, although I am not sure how many "everyday" people would wear these fashions out and about.
