Our country is made up of many different faiths an beliefs that makes it unique. Faiths means something different and has a different effect for each individual person. Let me explain what faith means to Christians. The basis of Christian faith is following God no matter how good or bad a situation is.

"After Jesus left the girl's home, two blind men followed along behind him shouting "Son of David, have mercy on us!" They went right into the house where he was staying and Jesus asked them 'Do you believe I can make you see?' 'Yes Lord' they told him 'We do!' Then he touched their and said 'because of your faith it will happen" Matthew 9: 27-29

Jesus didn't respond to the men right away because he was testing their faith. He wanted to be sure they truly believed he could heal them. Many people come to God for help, but don't truly have faith that he could help them. Sometimes God makes us wait to strengthen our faith as we wait for him to act. Some people just turn away when he makes them wait. He wants us to have faith that can do anything he says he can. The blind men referred to Jesus as "Son of David" because they had faith he was the one prophesied in Isaiah. Faith is about placing trust in God for all things, and trust and believe that he can do anything.

"What do you mean 'if I can ' Jesus said "Anything is possible if a person believes" Mark 9:23

With God all things is possible, is a common and important theme throughout the Bible, mainly the Gospels. A person needs to have faith that God can do anything and everything. If a person has such faith they can accomplish anything they set their minds to. As Christians, we need to have faith that nothing is too difficult for God. With faith we can have everything needed to serve God: basically, faith is all we need.

"Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples 'Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I assure you, anyone who doesn't have their kind of faith will never get into the Kingdom of God" Luke 18:15-17

Takeaways
  • Children have an innocent kind of faith.
  • Sometimes God tests our faith, only to strengthen us through it.
  • Faith will see us through our difficult times.
