How to Decorate Your Office for Halloween
So the vice president of your company has given you the thankless task of decorating the office for Halloween party. Boy what did you do to get this booby prize? So here are some ideas to help you make the best of a possibly bad situation.
Office Party - With Employee Children Present
This is actually the best scenario as you have a chance to please the kids, which will please the moms, which will make the fathers happy. Start decorating by making an entry way into
the office front that looks like a giant pumpkin. For an entry way too narrow to make a properly plump pumpkin make a big scarecrow that straddles the front entry way. This will start the party off properly.
As the kids and parents come in, hand out trick or treat bags that they can use at home on the real Halloween night. If this is the night then they can use them later in their own neighborhood. Some parents, seeing the bag nicely filled with your best choice of goodies will take advantage of the situation to tell the kids that this is trick or treat for this year.
Have the kids and parents enter into the conference room that your decorating skills will have turned into a scary party maze. This was easy to do because you hung panels of material from the acoustic ceiling frame to form the halls and surprise points. At certain points there will be witches and goblins handing out more goodies to the kids. Have fog, from dry ice in water floating on the floor, blown by a fan. Make sure you have somewhat eerie music playing in the background. The black lights you replaced some of the normal lights with should make those panels of light color stick out in the room of goodies and horrors.
At the end of the trip through the room the kids have their goody bags even more full than when they entered. Your assignment of various employees at key goodie points in special costumes was certainly a big hit. Let everyone try to guess what character the boss was. Have a prize for the winner of that game.
