Tips for Visiting Disney World for Halloween

Disney World started getting ready for Halloween in the last week of August. The normal 4 week lead time for booking has grown to 5 weeks if you plan to stay at a Disney World resort for Halloween or want tickets to special Halloween season events. As far as
a place that like costumes, who can beat Disney? Every year Disney has its special "Not So Scary Halloween" party. Lots of special bargains and shows take place all year round at Disney theme parks but Halloween seems to be an especially fun time. Bottom line here is that you need to get your bookings in as early as possible. Especially for reservations in certain special restaurants this early booking is necessary. Some people do not realize that even if you have not booked a tour package nor have reservations at a hotel yet you can book your dinner or lunch reservations inside the park months in advance. If plans change you may be able to leverage getting a new reservation if you have an old one booked at a key time this Halloween season. In the rest of this article we give you an updated report on the most popular attractions at Disney World this year. Where possible we give specific information on changes or additions for the Halloween celebration period that runs from early September until Halloween night itself.

Walt Disney World - Animal Kingdom Park
Expedition Everest - A really wild ride. While in line, a young girl asked my father, "Are you really going to do this ride." When he asked why she said, "Because it goes real fast, (pause) in the dark, (pause) backwards at times, (pause) and almost upside down - all at the same time. She was right but we loved it. Our vote for best ride in all the parks at Disney World. During Halloween they have a special event planned with prizes and surprises for visitors at least three times a day.

Lion King Show - The number one must see show at this park and a great show for all. Based on the Disney movie Lion King. This is not a ride but a great show if you have time.

Kilimanjaro Safari - A super attraction where you ride in a jeep like a real safari. You get to see real animals and chase some poachers. Good for all (maybe a little scary, but not too bad).
