Have you heard the axiom: Everything that has been said has already been written? Well, that is not entirely true. The world has not read what you have to say yet, have they? eBooks are allowing writers to take advantage of new technology and the wonderful information highway known as the "Internet". The Internet allows writers to expose their works to people all over the globe. The format of eBooks allow quick access to your works and instantly too. Today is the perfect time to write an eBook because the publishing industry needs writers who can understand and write about the world, as it is today - innovative and technologically advanced. You have new ideas, and new solutions for old problems, and new ways of thinking about the ways of the world. We are the next generation of writers, using a medium (the Internet) to reach billions of people who live all over the world. Information can travel quickly on the information highway.
From Idea To eBook:
You have what you believe to be a brilliant idea, and the knowledge to back it up and are convinced that this idea will enable you to write an exceptional ebook.
You sit at your computer, staring at your blank screen wondering why you should put your thoughts onto the screen? You ask yourself "Why?
Why should I go through all the trouble of writing my idea down, when it's so impossible to get anything published these days?
Well, what you need to understand is that publishing an ebook is entirely different from publishing a book in print.
How exactly is the printed book different from an eBook?
When you submit a printed book for consideration, there are steps you must take first before sending it in to a publisher.
1. First you will need to look up the guidelines for submitting a manuscript. Then you have to follow those guidelines so that your manuscript will be accepted for review.
2. Then you wait, and wait to see if your manuscript will be accepted or rejected.
3. If your manuscript is accepted, there may be editing or re-writes to do. Then the process of preparing your book begins. Then you wait for the book to be printed and ready for retail sales.
The whole process can take months even longer.
