VoiceLog is a third party verification company that provides an array of services to companies including verification, call quality and monitoring, and other customer service related services. VoiceLog hires for a number of different types of work from home positions, although most of them require you to have bilingual skills. Again, this is a work from home job and there are no fees associated with working for this company.

You will be an independent contractor so you need to take out your own taxes and there are no benefits. As a verifier, you will be listening to live calls that were recorded to ensure the customer received the service they ordered. Another duty is to ensure the quality of calls and to monitor the calls of other verifiers. There are no upsells or sales involved with this work.

You should have prior customer service experience but not quite sure if VoiceLog requires it or not. They don't conduct a background check at the time of this writing but that could change. The company hires in all states except, Alaska and Hawaii. There is training provided, initially and ongoing. Now, here are some of the equipment requirements. You don't need long distance but you will need a quiet environment to take calls and your calls will be recorded.

At this time, Macintosh and E-machines are not compatible with their system. Not quite sure why an e-machine won't work but that's the rule. You need to have Windows XP or 2000 on your computer, 512 MB RAM, a Pentium 4 1.6 Ghz or higher processing speed, MS Office and Excel, a printer, IE 6.0, high-speed Internet, an e-mail address, AIM, and, of course, a second line with no options.

I forgot to mention this in my other work from home company reviews but cell phones won't work when taking customer service calls from home. It is not professional and there are too many problems like dropped calls, echoes, and break ups. You need a landline phone to take inbound calls. Also for this position, a VoIP will not work. You can pick your own hours but they will be set hours and you need to be able to work the hours you choose.

Takeaways
  • Some of the positions require bilingual skills
  • They pay only by direct deposit
  • E-machines are not acceptable
