I always find great old vintage Hockey Sticks at yard sales and the flea market. They are always there. It seems no one wants these Hockey Sticks because they don't know what to do with them. You can use vintage and old Hockey Sticks to create a designer look in your home. They are perfect for the home office, bathroom, family room, and a game room. Here are some great DIY projects you can do around your home with vintage and old Hockey Sticks.

Bathroom Towel Bar

A vintage Hockey Sticks makes a fabulous towel bar in the bathroom. They are easy to install and you don't have to do any damage to the Hockey Sticks. Install a curtain rod where you would normally hang your towel bar. Make sure you Hockey Stick is only slightly longer than your curtain rid, about 6 inches. Lay your Hockey Stick in front of the curtain rod; sue twine to attach it to each end. Simply wrap the twine around the hockey stick and the curtain rod making an X. If you are worried about the hockey club slipping out you could also use some epoxy glue to attach the hockey stick.

Coat Hook

A hockey stick makes an awesome coat hook. Simply screw one hole in each end of the hockey stick, about three inches in. The hole should go entirely through the stick. Now, use those holes to attach it to the wall. Now, you can hang hooks all along the hockey stick. Simply screw them into place with wood screws.

Kitchen or Coffee Table Base

Measure your Hockey Sticks from end to just before the club head. You will need to use hockey sticks that are very close in length. Build a wooden base using the dimensions you just measured. Use 2X4's and build a cube to table height and wide on each side as your Hockey Sticks

measurements.

Paint your wooden table cube out in a paint to match your home decor. You will be able to see it through the Hockey Sticks.

Takeaways
  • Bathroom towel bar.
  • Coat rack.
