How to Throw a Jimmy Buffet Themed Party

As any Parrot-head knows it can be hard to organize a party around the great sandled messiah. Tracking down just the right items can be difficult. Between the music, food, and drinks it can be a real hair-puller. But fret no more! Here's a handy guide to items for the perfect Jimmy Buffet
 party!

This box set will provide all the tunes you'll need for your party. It comes with 4 discs containing over four hours of the Buffet-man's best jams. From Margaritaville to Brown Eyed Girl this set has everything, including rarities like Money Back Guarantee and Biloxi. Throw these discs in the stereo on shuffle and be assured that every guest will hear their favorite song.

The Food: Cheesburger in Paradise

For a Jimmy Buffett party you have to have awesome cheeseburgers. Here's a recipe that's sure to make your guests feel like they're in heaven.

2 Lbs. Hamburger

1 Tps. Salt

1 Clove Garlic

2 Packages Ranch Seasoning

Mix all ingredients in a mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly.

Break out into medium sized patties and put on the grill.

Grill on a very low heat for 25-30mins to retain juices. Cooking the burgers to fast will cause them to loose the important ranch flavor.

Top with you favorite cheddar cheese and smother in lime juice for a tropical flair. Serve on toasted bun with a pickle on the side. Top the burger with ranch or your favorite condiment.

Other foods enjoyed by Parrotheads include: Chicken Wings, Sushi, crab legs, Roasted Pineapple, and fish tacos. Keep the snacks light, as the drinks will be constantly flowing.

The Drinks: Margaritas (naturally)

Making Margaritas is quite a chore. Luckily using the pre-salted cups from Rita Rims means that you'll be getting drinks into the hands of your guest faster. They come in Lime & Salt and Strawberry & Sugar to allow for many different types of drinks. You can use your favorite frozen drink mixes but Buffett would tell you to just mix them fresh in a blender. Either way, these party cups are always a hit!
