The TRENDnet Wireless N Gigabit Router model TEW-633GR is a great all around router for both the older 802.11b/g systems and the newest N draft specifications.

Ease of Use, Performance: 20/25, Look & Feel: 22/25,
Features 24/25, How much I enjoy 22/25

Total: 88/100

Routers and networking is a complicated setup and sometimes very confusing with all the various terms and the wide variety of hardware available. Setting up a network can be difficult and adding a wireless system adds a lot to the confusion that can occur when working with all this technology.

Networking hardware companies are trying their best to make things less complicated and confusing by adding more user friendly setups and simpler, easier hardware. The TRENDnet Wireless N Gigabit Router does a great job of making things simple and easy not only in the setup but in using the network daily.

Of course on a day to day basis you do not want to have to mess with your network at all but when you do have to you want things simple and easy. The TRENDnet software and administrator pages are pretty much like others I have seen but with plenty of wizards to make things easy.

There are wireless and internet setup wizards, a combined internet and wireless setup wizard and a manual wireless setup wizard with more options than the previous ones. Each of these wizards is easy to use and includes help sections to guide you through each one.

All these wizards are here to help you setup your system and it really is not all that difficult, the manual also helps out some but the program includes help sections and internet links for their support as well. You can also use the basic setup wizard included on the CD for a simple step by step hand held guide through the setup.

Whichever method you use to install the router you are sure to get at least the basic system up and running with your security system watching out for your safety. Setting up your network using the TRENDnet router will be pretty easy once all the hardware is in place. If you already have everything from a previous router setup and are just upgrading routers it will be a simple process.
