Two Face Halloween Costume from the Batman Movies

Two Face, a villain from the Batman comics, movies and Gotham's Hall of Villains is a great character choice for a Halloween costume. Here are some hints and ideas on how to make your Two Face a double hit this Halloween. Two Face is usually
wearing a dark suit with a white shirt or some type of dark jump suit. Of course the main prop is the Two Face half mask. You could try to duplicate some type of negative half mask with make up. If you could find a rubber half mask at a costume shop it would be more effective. The clothing props are simple in this case but important and a must. In this case they are an example of something you could find at the second hand store or Welfare clothing give away store.

Two Face sometimes has disheveled dark hair. If you do make up for the half of the face that is a distorted monster you have quite a bit of leeway. There have been several versions done. The basic make up is heavy on black eye liner and lots of deep wrinkles If you are able to buy a mask then you will have issues with attaching it to one side of your face. Be careful what type of glue you use. If you cannot find a mask for half a disfigured face then using make up is acceptable because over the years Two Face has come in and out of the Batman story. On one occasion his face was rebuilt. In later episodes another Two Face appeared and this one was never disfigured but just used makeup trying to make people think he was the original Two Face who had regressed back to doing good or avid at the toss of a coin.

As in most costumes, part of the believability comes from how you act out the part. In the case of Two Face you have one giant ally. The prop, a large coin which you will flip to decide if what you do is good or evil. If you want your coin prop to be authentic you need to find a two headed coin. This should be possible at a magicians prop shop. Once you have the coin you need to scratch or engrave very visibly a big X on one side.
