As you probably already know, I love sampling new fragrances. Unfortunately, nothing really intriguing has been introduced to the market recently. When I heard about Harajuku Lovers by Gwen Stefani, I just had to jump on the bandwagon to sample it. Here's what I discovered about this new perfume - which comes in five different scents!Bottles
What really caught my eye about this perfume was the bottles. There are five different bottles, one for each of her scents. Each bottle looks like a little Japanese doll. They all have different hairstyles and different clothing. Two of the dolls are actually supposed to represent Gwen Stefani herself, while the other three are supposed to be her backup dancers. I must say that every single one of the bottles are very, very cute! They are definitely something that people who collect perfume bottle collectors would be interested in having. As far as the design of the bottles goes, I have to give Harajuku by Gwen Stefani 6 out of 5 stars - they're really that adorable!
Scents
Obviously, unless you're like me, buying a perfume just because of the bottle seems a little bit ridiculous to you. Keep in mind that each scent is different. While I may prefer one, you may prefer another. Here's a breakdown of what I thought of the different scents.
G (which stands for Gwen) - This is by far my favorite Harajuku Lovers scent. It is a tropical blend, but the only scent that you can really notice is the coconut. G reminds me a lot of pina cooladas. Anyone that loves tropical scents is bound to love this perfume.
Baby - This is definitely my least favorite. It is the only musky Harajuku Lovers scent. If you enjoy floral blends that are also musky, this is probably right for you, because it is exactly what it smells like.
Lil' Angel - This Harajuku perfume smells very sweet. The scent is a blend of different types of fruit, such as raspberry, cranberry, and pineapple. However, the strongest note of the perfume is lollipops, making this perfume very candy-like. This Harajuku scent reminds me the most of Fantasy by Britney Spears. I like it, but only because I enjoy candy-like scents.
