A family trip to Disneyland can be exceptionally fun. However, packing for the trip can be time consuming and a little confusing, particularly for those who need to pack for children as well. Knowing what clothes to pack for kids for your Disneyland trip can be troublesome, especially if you are visiting from an entirely different part of the country where typical weather can be vastly different from the weather at Disneyland. If you need to pack clothes for children for your upcoming trip to Disneyland, the following tips might be useful to you.

Check the 10 Day weather forecast on weather.com - And then add five degrees. According to members of a popular Disneyland inspired Internet discussion boards who live in Anaheim, the temperature is routinely five degrees warmer than the forecast on weather.com. Weather.com gives 10 day forecasts, which can be very useful when trying to figure out what clothes to pack for your children. This may mean you will have to pack pretty close to the time you are scheduled to leave for your trip, especially if your trip involves a multi-day drive.

Unless you are visiting Disneyland in the dead of Winter, don't consider bringing heavy coats - And the truth is, even if you are visiting during Winter, you likely wouldn't need a heavy coat. These will probably only get in the way. The better bet is to pack several thin layers, and a sweatshirt. Sweatshirts and long sleeved shirts worn over a t-shirt which can be peeled off as needed and tied around your waist during the day are easiest to deal with. At Disneyland, the mornings can be chilly until the fog burns off, but then the day can get quite warm. If the sun is out at Disneyland, it can be warm enough for jeans and t-shirts, even during winter. It can get chilly again when the sun goes down, but typically a sweatshirt is adequate to keep comfortably warm. For young kids, you may want to consider bringing along knit gloves and hats, just to make sure they stay really toasty. This way, everyone will be comfortable enough to enjoy the park even when it's late.
