Jill Greenburg Admits to Altering McCain Photos
Self-Admitted "Hard-Core Democrat" Eshews Responsibility
Jill Greenburg is a hard-core democrat by her own admission. She purposely took pictures of John McCain literally to put him in a bad light, to make him look evil. The digitaljournal.com and other sources are reporting that Greenburg has admitted to purposely doctoring McCain's pictures to make him look evil.
Does Greenburg take any responsibility? She does admit to doing it but then slithers around by saying that it was "somewhat irresponsible" of the Atlantic Monthly for hiring her knowing of her past work.
Jill Greenburg is blessed with a large amount of circular reasoning. She also knows, I'm sure, that had the magazine not hired her based on her political beliefs, she would probably have had a lawsuit and McCain would have taken the political hit.
It is nauseating to listen to Greenburg, in the magazine article, describe how she manipulated the trusting McCain.
Greenburg asked McCain "for one more setup"...with a beauty dish that he thought was firing ; it wasn't. What Greenburg did was fire up a strobe light which flashed across McCain's face that would later be doctored to make him look even more evil.
Greenburg's comments were even more tasteless when she said that McCain's staff must not be "very sophisticated" because they didn't pick up on what she was doing. No, it's not that they weren't sophisticated, it's that they didn't expect criminal behavior, which it is, from a supposed professional photographer.
Actually, as the article goes on to report, while Greenburg is certainly all she is accused of and more, it may go deeper than that.
The owner of The Atlantic magazine is Katherine Brittain Bradley. She is on record as donating to committees that support Barack Obama $28,500. There is the possibility that Greenburg was hired because of her stance and previous work.
Should a person like Jill Greenburg be allowed to ply her trade in any way she sees fit? Is deceit covered in Constitutional rights? I don't think so.
Certainly anyone as old as me can remember the Kennedy-Nixon debate where Nixon looked worse in front of the camera than Kennedy and many people felt that had a lot to do with Kennedy's victory.
