Good skin care begins with proper cleansing regardless of your skin type or your age. Keeping skin clean is essential to have skin that looks and feels beautiful, whether your complexion is oily, dry, combination or normal

Do not use harsh chemicals and soaps - they strip skin of natural oils. Gentle soaps work the best on all skin types. It is also beneficial to choose a cleanser that is formulated for specific skin type you have. For all skin types, the best temperate to use when washing is lukewarm. If you have oily skin, a steaming facial over hot water helps unclog pores without stripping your skin of its essential oils. Use a clean, cotton facecloth to moisten your face before washing, but do not rub or scrub with it - that can irritate your skin. Choose a soft towel made of natural fiber to dry the skin. Blot the towel gently over your skin until your skin is smooth and dry to the touch.

For dry or normal skin, cleanse your skin twice per day. If you have acne, oily skin or combination skin, cleansing up to three times per day is acceptable. Using a toner or astringent to deep cleanse oily skin after cleansing removes oil that is trapped in the pores to leave a cleaner, smoother complexion.

It is also important to stay in top shape physically because it reflects on your skin. A healthy lifestyle, including well-balanced meals and enough water, can help cleanse your body internally and reflects on your skin in a positive manner.

Food we eat is supposed to provide our bodies with essential vitamins to assist in its necessary functions. Foods such as peaches, parsley, tomatoes, carrots, apricots and spinach all contain Vitamin A, which minimizes oil production and helps with tissue repair. Oranges and grapefruits contain Vitamin C, an antioxidant that flushes toxins out of your body. Zinc is also an antioxidant found in brazil nuts, whole grains and pumpkin seeds. Include Vitamin B complexes in your diet to maintain skin tone and reduce stress by eating foods like fish, meat, peanuts, leafy green veggies and eggs. Planning a well-balanced diet every day will make improve the condition and health of your skin radically.
