But at AssociatedContent, many of us focus on getting out as much writing as we can. Self promotion falls to the wayside in the mire of writing, submitting, and adding submission details. This year, I am resolving to learn as much as I can about freelance writing and improving my writing and submissions on AC can only help enhance that cause.
Hence, I have come to identify ten resolutions for my AssociatedContent submissions this year- ends I can work toward that will generalize to all of the writing I am submitting both on AC and on sites abroad.
AC New Year's Resolution #1: Write to Content Special Offers.
I admit I tend not to write very often to the content special offers. Sometimes I have preconceived ideas about what I'll be writing on in a given week or in a day, and sometimes I have no ideas for an offer's suggested content. Many times this means a suggested topic is outside my area of 'expertise', thus leaving my comfort zone to complete an article on a topic, but learning to write outside my comfort zone shows versatility in my writing ability, making it possible to accept other paying writing jobs. Writing on such subjects here at AssociatedContent will give me the confidence I need to accept these types of jobs as well.
AC New Year's Resolution #2: Spend more time on AC forums.
