Winter Park offers a beautiful place to raise your family, or even retire. It has breathtaking parks and lakes all over. As well as captivating architecture throughout the city. While it has the mainstream stores and shopping centers, it also has an older, intimate feel in the Downtown Winter Park area.
The Downtown area has many one-of-a-kind boutiques, with great restaurants, and coffee places! Right across the street from all these wonderful shops is Central Park. Central Park has a beautiful Rose Garden, art on loan from all over the country, two fountains, and a walking trail. Close by is also a Regal Cinemas. There really is something to do for the whole family within a few miles of each other. The streets come to life with the live music, sidewalk cafes, and of course those great restaurants. During the Holidays, they display a 42 foot tall Christmas Tree in the middle of the Park and do a nightly "snowing".
There are other perks of course to Winter Park besides the Downtown area. If you have the urge to visit the "big city", Orlando is less than ten miles away. There are countless things to do there! From the House of Blues to the Orlando Science Center. There are three major hospitals within a seven mile radius of Winter Park. Two major airports are within a fifteen miles radius.
For those seeking a smaller college or university feel Winter Park has five: Rollins College, Full Sail Real World Education, Winter Park Tech, Avanti Hair Tech, and John Casablanca's Modeling and Career Center.
Within thirty miles you have access to all the great theme parks! That includes Sea World and Discovery Cove, Disneyworld, Downtown Disney, all of its parks and resorts, and the Universal Studios parks and City Walk. You are less than an hour for Cocoa Beach, the Kennedy Space Center, the Brevard Zoo, and many other beaches!
