The manual in skateboarding is a very complicated trick. This may be argued because it will be most likely the first trick you learn. So in this guide, I am going to tell you the correct way to do it perfect.

Manual Instructions:

position:
First Place your front foot in the middle of the hardware on the board. Then rest your back foot on the tail of the board. This will be the position that you will be in while manualing. Except you will be moving and leaning back with balance.

Balance:
Balance is a key to much success in skateboarding, with out balance you will have less control of your board. This can be a major problem. So practice keeping your body positioned correctly over the board. The more relaxed you feel on the board. The more balanced you are with the board.

Head strong:
You must be head strong with any tricks you do related to skateboarding. Being able to know you can do a trick even if you have not shown it yet physically. Will make you learn a trick much faster. So while in a manual make yourself think you will get it.

Now the steps on how to manual:

While riding on the board put your feet in the position described above. Slowly lean back while holding your balance. While doing this Make sure to keep your body leaning forward(not to far forward). While doing this you will be able to control your body's weight. Therefore the board will be able to manual.

Some tips on becoming balanced:

Skate all the time while trying to be relaxed. Make sure your body's weight is always centered with the board. Practice Yoga if you have to. Believe it or not it is good for skateboarding and also the body!
