When it comes to a pair of scissors, they are many people who don't really care what they look like, as long as they get the job done. I have found myself in that boat a lot of times, and because of it have used some very oddly shaped scissors over the years. I do have a favorite pair I picked out from the bunch and I have 5 pairs of them in my house now. Lets not focus on why I have 5 pairs now, but suffice it to say, I used to have a lot of storage boxes, and in a 3 year span I did a lot of moving. That is one point I will touch on a little later. I will also touch on how easy these are to clean, and just how well they shine when you done cleaning them. As I was saying, these are the scissors that I have enjoyed using the most, in the tune of buying a pair 5 different times. They aren't the cheapest either, at just south of $10.00, so I wouldn't recommend using my approach to test how long they will last. The main reason that I like them so much, is that they are so comfortable on my hands. Due to some sports injuries, my right thumb isn't in the greatest of conditions anymore, and it is a struggle to get some brands of scissors to work for me. That coupled with the pain that too much pressure on those tendons causes me, makes me keep coming back to my trust Fiskars. The Fiskars scissors have a straight blade that is about 4 inches long before it gets to the handle part. The handle is an additional 4 inches, which makes these a rather large pair of scissors.
