Today I was thinking about the many health and other benefits of Hydrogen Peroxide . Since I've always had a bottle handy throughout the years, and have always used hydrogen peroxide and touted its benefits, I thought I'd pass on a few helpful uses. The peroxide used in the following is a household form of 3% hydrogen peroxide.

Put 1 ounce hydrogen peroxide in 1 quart of water and water and mist plants with solution. For sprouting seeds, add 1 ounce hydrogen peroxide to one pint of water and soak seeds overnight. Use a new mixture of the same solution each time you soak or water the seeds.

Use hydrogen peroxide on wet blood stains. Pour it right on the stain.

Use a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water and spray into nostrils whenever you have a cold or clogged sinuses. It will bubble and help kill bacteria. Hold in nose for a few minutes then blow your nose into a tissue. (fill an empty nasal spray bottle with this 50/50 solution).

For an emergency-fix for a bad toothache, put a capfull of peroxide into your mouth and hold it for 10 minutes several times a day. The pain will lessen greatly.

For a lighter, natural look for your blonde or light brown hair, spray a 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water on your wet hair after a shower and comb it through. It will lighten and highlight your hair gradually.

Pour a cup of peroxide in your bath water to help rid boils, fungus or other skin infections.

Use hydrogen peroxide to clean mirrors with no smearing.

Use hydrogen peroxide as an insecticide spray. Put 8 ounces of white sugar and 4-8 ounces of hydrogen peroxide in one gallon of water and spray away.

Keep a spray bottle of hydrogen peroxide in the bathroom and spray your body after washing to replace the acid on your skin that soap and chloride in the water removes.

Spray toilet paper with hydrogen peroxide before using.

Use hydrogen peroxide spray on a cotton ball as a facial freshener after washing.

Mix hydrogen peroxide with baking soda and use as a toothpaste for whitening and cleaning your teeth.

Use 3% hydrogen peroxide as a mouthwash and throat gargle. It destroys the bad bacteria and helps clear up periodontal disease.

Yeaa!! I did the 50/50 H20 + H.Peroxide thing to my hair .. it turned out beautiful!! Ok well my hair was already medium blonde so.. that might be why it turned out so great.. ok well 1. When you get out of the shower make sure all the extra water is out.. so sqeeze your hair.. 2. Split into sections i did 2 sections(like pigtails) 3. Pour the Hydrogin P. in a spray bottle then the water..then mix (make sure bottle is cleaned out lol.. before you pour stuff in.. haha) 4. Start at the roots and gradually move down one side of you head because you have it split in parts..do it on both sides then do it again but farther away from your head i did it about 3 times on the pigtails.. 5. Get a blow dryer and with a comb.. make sure all is dry. 6. Leave in for about 2 hours.. then use a deep conditioner(so hair doesnt dry out) and wash one more time.. IT works sooo well.. do bout 1ce evry 2 weeks but make sure your hair isnt too too brown ..might turn allitle on the orange si

Don't forget that Hydrogen Peroxide will cause a bleaching effect in bedding and clothing as it rubs off of your body.

my friend uses 50 /50 H2O + H. Peroxide (3%) on her hair to lighten it. Her hair is beautiful. People always ask her where she gets her highlights done. It looks great. Also because she builds up gradually she's able to control the colour. I wish I was brave enough to try.
