Independent -- the Undecided Voter Haiku for the 2008 Presidential Campaign

Taking a detour from standard programming here, this series of political haikus is a contribution to the AC Political Haiku Contest, whereas writers can express their views on Barack Obama / Joe Biden and/or the
John McCain / Sarah Palin ticket, a third-party candidate or a reflection thereof.

Its focus is on the disenchanted or disaffected voters (including former Clinton supporters) who feel that their political party no longer represents their views and/or that neither party candidate is a comfortable choice.

My hearts on fire, because of this funeral pyre. The ashes of our economy, burning in egonominy. Greedy planning fed the fire, come hell or high water, money sets it higher. Throw on more and more, as our hopes go out the door. With the rest of our money, forevermore. No more money, no more gain. Only loss, what a shame. Open a door, close a door, all thats left are the poor. All thats left, is my name. Candidates and Representatives, share this blame. No more money, no more home. Woe is me, woe is you, no more home, left too roam. And only greedy people left too blame. Only God can save this home.

Brilliantly put... the course of this race is growing more worrisome indeed. You said it all, talking about extremists leaving centrists orphaned. Instead of unity, Red and Blue are still growing further apart, and now they're breaking into factions. Troublesome stuff. What choice have we but to see where it goes?
