Who Started Java? And Why?

Now this is a simple question. It was Bill Joy who thought of the idea's and features of Java. He is now the Vice-President of Sun Micro-system's. He designed Java for a implementation of the two language's named "MESA" and "C". He started using a re-written UNIX system but he decided that C++ was not workable for the Job.

Oak

Oak was the first name of Java until it got changed. Oak was named from a tree outside Gosling's door. This where the major production of current Java started.
