Two-Face Costume Tips

Seeing as how the Dark Knight has become one of the most financially successful movies in history, it is no wonder that people young and old want to dress as the villainous Two-Face for Halloween. Considering the different incarnations of the notorious villain, there are any number of ways to go, and this article will spell out some of the more interesting choices you can make when building your own Two-Face costume.

First, the look of the face is the most important part. Considering that the latest Two-Face was created with computer generated images, it would be extremely difficult to pull this look off accurately. Considering this, look at other versions, both comic and live action, that have existed. There are still any number of old Tommy Lee Jones Two-Face kits out there, as well as some knock-off new ones at www.partytree.com, for starters.

If you are having trouble finding a Two-Face kit, look to other kits for help. Scar kits can be bought and mixed up, as well as latex zombie kits. Also, don't forget the Nightmare On Elm Street kits; just don't apply half the face and you're already there! If none of these do it for you, there are any number of custom latex scar kits where you design your own battle damage.

The next point is the hair. Do you want to go white like the cartoon version, red like the old movies or just matt it and make it look nasty. Remember, you only have to do one side of your head, so make the other look as nice as possible. A partial bald cap would work well, as would a partially shaven wig. Also, don't be afraid to experiment with some temporary dye.

Next is the outfit. While I don't recommend destroying a fancy suit, you can usually find a decently priced and nice-looking suit at www.kohls.com. Take one half of it and cut it up with scissors, set part on fire, or just drag it over some rocks. Make at least half of your coat and pants look awful, but be mindful of the other half, and make sure your grungy coat side matches your made-up face side. Also, don't be afraid to pick up some dress shoes from Goodwill and rip one of them up for the extra effect.
