Restaurant Review: Steve's Dakota Grill in Medina, Ohio
We ate dinner Friday night at Steve's Dakota Grill located at 2809 Pearl Rd. in Medina, Ohio. Steve's Dakota Grill has five locations in Ohio including restaurants in Medina, Findlay, Marion, and Ontario. This was our first experience eating at this restaurant.
Medina, OH 44256
United States of America We had often seen the cabin-like restaurant that is set amongst the trees along Pearl Road. We had wanted to try Steve's Dakota Grill for two years and we finally set aside an evening in order to dine there. We had four adults and two children in our party.
Steve's Dakota Grill had received "The Best of The Best" award from the Medina County Gazette for five years in a row. It was voted on by the readers of the newspaper for having the best steaks, seafood, and prime rib in the area.
We waited about forty-five minutes for our table. We expected the wait considering it was a busy Friday night and we had a party of six. There was plenty of seating outside the restaurant. They had benches and picnic tables lining Steve's Dakota Grill's front porch.
The décor at Steve's Dakota Grill is rustic. My kids liked the deer head hanging on the wall and the six foot carved bear totem pole. I did not appreciate the cobwebs on the light fixtures that were over the table next to ours. The restaurant had hard wood floors and ceilings which made everything echo. The noise level was pretty loud and it was difficult to have a conversation with the people at your table without yelling what you wanted to say.
The drink prices were reasonable. It cost $4.99 for a mixed drink and $2.50 for a bottle of beer. Steve's Dakota Grill had thirty varieties of beer to choose from, so if you like beer, you will find one that suits you. The kids were slightly upset because the restaurant did not serve chocolate milk. They settled on white milk without too much of a fuss.
