Well, many teams know how classless Terrell Owens of the Dallas Cowboys is, but in his game against the Atlanta Falcons he lowered himself to the level of an animal. It was reported during the game that he had spit on the face of an opponent, DeAngelo Hall, in his game vs. the Atlanta Falcons. After the game Deangelo Hall confirmed this incident and said that he lost all respect for Terrell Owens and would never speak with him on the phone again. The broadcasters were shocked, and they had the first chance to address it with "T.O." when they interviewed him after the game. T.O. didn't dissapoint the public, he showed what most of us have known for a long time, he has no respect for anyone and doesn't deserve to play professional football.

Owens hemmed and hawed before saying he was sorry. He then tried to justify it explaining saying something along the lines that Hall was bugging him and got in his face by claiming he shut him down last year so he had to do something to put Hall in his place. Then he admitted he spit in Hall's face.

I'm sorry, but that's it T.O. , you have done some unprofessional things in your career, but this can not be ignored by the NFL. Deion Sanders even tried to get T.O. to realize how pathetic and act about that and said he hopes the players don't have further confrontations from this act , T.O. just replied that it was not something he was concerned with. I'm sorry, but T.O. has done enough to warrant severe disciplinary action against him. Let's review some of the lowlights in his career.

Early in Owens' career as a member of the 49'ers he celebrated a touchdown by running from the endzone to the middle of the field and spiking the ball on the Cowboys logo (amazing they eventually signed him this year), many of us just viewed this is a childish act and attributed it to his age. Later in his career he insisted he had to be traded from the 49'ers. They traded him to the Ravens but he threw a temper tantrum and said that he should be a free agent and couldn't be traded without his approval, unfortunately for the league they ruled in his favor and he signed with the Eagles.

Takeaways
  • Spitting in the face of another individual is the most disrespectful thing you can do
  • T.O. is not bigger than the NFL , the NFL must take action
  • T.O. has a long hist of immature actions, but this is beyond immature it's bordering inhumane
Did You Know?
The NFL is known for enforcing the rules and making the right decision, but in my opinion considering Owens has admitted to spitting in Hall's face and feels it wasn't anything he should worry about must be taught a lesson.
