Personally I have never liked Pepperidge Farm Goldfish Crackers. Cheese and I have never been very close friends, in fact the whole process of making cheese pretty much sickens me, especially when the cheese is made into some odd powdery form and then sprinkled on top of a cracker for a cheesy flavor.

This past week though while browsing my local Target Pepperidge Farm Goldfish managed to actually catch my eye simply because the crackers displayed on the paper bag were not their usual orange color, and they were not cheese flavored; they actually looked good. These fish were brown, and are part of Pepperidge Farms newest line of Graham Goldfish!

I love chocolate graham crackers, (especially when I use them while making smores!) and had a pretty good idea that these Goldfish would taste just as good, but would be an easier snack food than an actual graham cracker. I knew they would be something I could gnaw on while watching TV in bed, and not feel guilty about it.

Appearance:

New Chocolate Goldfish Grahams come in the standard paper bag that nearly all Goldfish crackers come in, only they are very easy to find on the shelves because th goldfish are a deep dark brown color. One yellow goldfish is on the bags cover, but it is easy to tell it apart form cheese goldfish, because the bag itself is brown.

So basically they are not the worlds healthiest snack, but they are pretty dang close, and you can eat quite a bit of them (51 to be precise) without having to feel like a hog, guilty, or weak. Yep, you can have your chocolate and not gain 40 pounds in one sitting. I like the sound of that!

In our home, Goldfish have always counted as TWO FOOD GROUPS (fish and grains). Do you mean to tell us we can actually eat cookies and pretend they are protein? 8-)
