There is new advancing technology on the rise utilizing your cell phone for, yet, another activity of daily living. Known as FEED Tribes, cell phone users across the World may soon find using debit cards, credit cards, checks and even cash are bygone necessities. So, what is Feed Tribe?

Much like a gift card, FEED Tribe is a pre-paid account, utilizing the concept of gift cards coupled with cell phone technology with a twist of debit card PIN action going on. With the establishment of a pre-paid account, consumers using a FEED account, when visiting authorized retailers, simply type in their FEED code into the cell phone, enter the amount of the transaction and the merchant's FEED code and FEED will return an authorization number to be provided to the sales clerk. This authorization code provides the merchant with an approval for payment from your FEED account to the merchant's account. It's that simple! Create a few speed dialing set ups and FEED may be the new technology needed to speed the check out process, especially during holiday season. So, what retailers and merchants are currently using FEED?

With FEED still in the innovaton technology stage, there are few merchants presently on the list. Locations, predominant in Colorado and the northern part of California have been chosen to pilot the new FEED service. Such locations, predominantly, involve local food chains. With FEED technology, the guest can walk into the restaurant, order food, eat and pay without every using money or a debit card. Also, because FEED is linked to your personal cell phone, assigned a user specific PIN, the risk of identity theft or risks associated with loss of a wallet are negated.
