How to Buy Gifts for Men

No, This is Not an Impossible Task!

The last presents to buy for any season, particularly during the holidays, are those for the men in our lives. Why are men so hard to buy gifts for? Because they usually go out and buy the things they need when they see them, and the latest fashions, fragrances and
home decor ideas usually score about a 2 out of 10 on their "must-have" lists.

Sooner or later, every female has to face the dilemma of how to please men with gifts. Here are some great ideas to help.

1) The Way to a Man's Heart is Still Through His Stomach!

As most men are horrible at baking (pardon my sexism here), a home baked treat such as a cake or fudge is always welcome. Most of the men I know also love homecooked meals. If you have a bachelor relative or friend, why not print him up a nice certificate promising him a home cooked meal of HIS choice?

Many of the men I buy gifts for also have a long term love affair with beef. Here is a link that provides free shipping for Montana organic beef - the kind you just don't get in the grocery stores: Get Free Shipping With Montana Legend On Orders of $130 or more . If you combine this gift with an old Western movie and a cowboy hat, you have the whole theme together.

If your man is more health conscious,Fruit & Wine may be a better way to go.

2) Men Love Experiences

The men I know are far happier if they receive tickets for something they want to do than another tie. Ideas include paying the greens fee for his favorite golf course, movie tickets ( check this out for good prices -Give the Gift of Movies - Fandango Bucks ), a fishing license, concert tickets, and travel. I bought my hubby 49'ers tickets off Ebay this year for a great price, I suggest surfing eBay! to find great rates on all kinds of tickets and travel.

3) Men Feel More Manly When Handling Power Tools - Always

Ever ask a guy to borrow his tools? I have - it doesn't work. Men guard their tools like they were crown jewels, and there is nothing happier than a man with the latest power tool in his hand. Does he need it? Probably not, but trust me, he will FIND a reason to use that tool even if he has to break something first in order to fix it later.

As a self proclaimed expert on men's gifts (see my blog at www.themensgiftguide.com) I can certainly say that your thoughts are right on. It takes a different mind set to buy for him than for her. I think the reason most of have trouble buying for the opposite sex is because our minds work completely differently and it takes years of practice to learn to think the right way. You obviously have a great deal of experience!
