You may have been taking a drug for years and never bothered to associate your present condition of tumors, blood clots, muscle aches, low or high blood pressure or other ailments with the prolong use of taking the drug. You may have recently received the news that your insurance company is no longer paying for the drug. Well, before you make a nasty phone call, send an angry letter, or call your doctor for a replacement, there just maybe a good reason that could save your life. The following drugs have some serious complaints made against them and all have had a history of being recalled. Some of the manufacturers of these drugs presently have lawsuits filed against them. The drug you or your loved one takes may be on the list. The first two I listed in detail since I have relatives who have actually taken these drugs and may be the cause for other ailments they are currently faced with as a result.Procrit
Recently, my grandmother discovered that her insurance company is no longer paying for this injection she had been taking for years. We all wondered why. After conducting our own research, we found that there are lawsuits being filed across the country against the drug companies that manufacture and promote Procrit. The FDA reports of serious injuries and deaths resulting from Procrit use. The drug companies have been accused of false advertising and other bad marketing strategies. The Procrit label now warns about the life-threatening risks associated with Procrit use. But this warning comes too late for many Procrit patients. My grandmother could have been one of them and who knows she could still be a victim we just don't know if some of her health issues are directly linked to the use of the product or not.
So here is what various Internet sites report about Procrit:
Life-threatening risks associated with Procrit and other erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (ESAs)
May cause death, heart attacks, blood clots, heart failure, pulmonary embolisms, stroke, or increased tumor growth
Procrit labels have been changed to add warnings about life-threatening risks
