As Americans get closer and closer to this most controversial presidential election in history, we are also faced with the gas crisis situation and the "crash" of the stock market prices. The economy
at this time in American history absolutely "stinks" So who do we vote for?" Do we vote for the Black man or the White man?

Are these presidential candidates ready for what's to be expected at this time of "crisis" here in America once they are elected into the highest office held in the entire world? John McCain is 72 years old. "At his age, will his health be strong enough to handle the stress to help all American issues that we are faced with in today's society?

Barrack Obama is a former Black civil rights attorney, which seems to create many issues amongst white people. In other words? Will he do the right thing for the entire country or just simply try to help the black community of this country? If he loses this 2008 presidential election, will blacks all across America retaliate and create another civil war?

Or will Black people here in the USA try to reason and understand that Obama just simply lost the election? At this particular time and date NO one seems to knows what the final outcome will be. Electing a Black man in the USA was eventually inevitable? I will never understand White people here in America and "Why they did not know this day would come for all Americans?"

Some of the "Redneck white Americans" that I have talked to, state "There will be trouble if Obama is elected" I am not sure exactly what this means?" The Black American voters I talked to simply state "It's time that we had a Black president!" I personally have to agree with them. NOT because he is Black, but the simple fact that he is of a different race.

Americans should get used to the fact that people in this great Nation are built amongst different colors and race. Technology advances all around the world everyday. These intelligent people and different races make up the greater part of the USA. "So why shouldn't different races of people have the ability to become president? "This is the NEW beginning of the USA, Americans might as well get used to it!"

This is a touchy subject. Seems like the country is divided on the wrong subjects. Color should not matter, put competence is the key to a successfully presidency and for a thriving country.

Thanks John for your EXCELLENT comment! I just hope and pray that this beautiful country we live in called the USA will never need this type of impeachment.

Regarding your suggestion for impeachment, we must be very careful about adding amendments to the US Constitution. The Gay Marriage Amendment looks harmless at first. The Constitution defines the powers and limitations of our government. Is the Gay marriage amendment the first step toward big government dictating our life styles? Likewise, would an amendment prohibiting prejudice be the first step toward impeaching every president based on opinion? Could a president be accused of prejudice because he vetoed a bill that would benefit one segment of our society? Would it affect freedom of speech? The amendments are not separate entities. The Supreme Court Justices often have to consider several amendments while deciding a case. How would an amendment that places God in the Constitution affect our freedom of religion and our separation of church and state? These are questions I seek answers to before advocating an amendment. Thanks for a thought provoking article!
