In this tutorial I will show you how to create a green and pink "Happy Birthday" photo fram
e. This is a green photo frame with a pink border. On the frame are pink balloons. At the bottom of the frame is "Happy Birthday". This is a cool frame that you can use with scrapbooks, MySpace, Bebo, or any social networking site. You can also use them on blogs and personal websites. This photo frame is created using Fireworks MX 2004.
You will first need to create a new canvas to work on. Create it 400 pixels by 400 pixels. You can crop it at the end. Select the rectangle tool and we will draw the square for the frame. Draw the square on your canvas. Draw the square the size that you want the frame to be.
Apply style 1 to the square. If your styles panel is not open, go to the top of your window and click Window > Styles. The styles panel will open on the right side of your window. Style 1 is the first style in the panel.
Now you will need to change the color of the color fill. The color will need to be changed to #99CC66. The border color will need to be changed to #993366. Change the border stroke category to 1-Pixel Soft. The tip size will need to be changed to 2. You can make the border thicker by changing the tip size.
Now we will add the balloons to the photo frame. The balloons are created using the Fantas Second Dingbat. You will need to download and install this dingbat to create the balloons. Grab the text tool and draw a text box on your photo frame. Type the letter x in the text box. Change your font style to Fantas Second. Change the color of the balloons to #993366. The stroke color of the balloons needs to be changed to white.
Drag the balloon to the corner of your photo frame. Now you can duplicate the other balloon that you will need. Right click on the balloons that you just created. When the menu drops down, click Edit > Duplicate. Drag the duplicated balloons to the other corner.
