From the first season the show was hard to believe. Michael Scoffield the baby face brother of a death row inmate robs a bank to be sent to prison to save his brother from death row. The idea was interesting enough to watch with a new breed of actors coming to the screen. But how realistic is a smal
l baby face white man being thrown into prison and practically calling all the shots. The first season was good enough to keep you watching until the next week. It was finally nice to see at the end of the season that the group finally breaks out of the Maximum security prison.
The second season was a shot of fresh air with new actors being introduced to the show with the FBI and Agent Mahone coming onto the scene to lead the search for the Fox River eight. Mahone's Character played by veteran actor William Fichtner brought a new level of darkness to the show as an FBI Agent with a sorted past of dark secrets and a drug problem. Another highlight of season two was the Secret Service Agent kellermans' shooting in the prison transport van by the government which was the most believable storyline of the whole season. The escape convicts backstabbed each other, cut off hands, and dug up the flooring of a house in broad daylight in the middle of suburbia. Throw in a Chrysler Crossfire, and a schooner waiting in Panama untouched, and then all characters being thrown back in jail and you have an unbelievable season two.
The Third season starts again with Michael and fellow cast members' all planning a breakout from the worst prison in the world in Panama. The place is so out of control that the military doesn't even enter into the prison. It is police from the outside because of fear of the inmates. But somehow the scrawny white men seem to fair decent enough without being forced into a prison marriage. FBI agent Mahone is now in prison with the remaining men that he didn't kill from the Fox River eight. All put troubles aside to follow a prison breakout plan lead by Michael that last throughout the season.
